Wat Phnom Hill: It is a famous city landmark. This symbol of Phnom Penh was built in 1434 to house the sacred relics. Today, Wat Phnom remains the highest artificial hill in Phnom Penh and center of many forms of leisurely activities.

ChakTomukRiver : the 'Four Faces' - so called for its location at the four-branched confluence of the MekongRiver. The Chaktomuk is a riverine crossroads in the heart of Cambodia with the Tonle SapRiver running northwest to the old Angkorian capital, the MekongRiver north to Laos and branches south to the delta and the South China Sea. Phnom Penh is, before all else, the city at Chaktomuk on the MekongRiver.

Ounalom Pagoda: It can be regarded as the most important pagoda in all of Phnom Penh, since it is the headquarters of the Buddhist patriarchate of Phnom Penh and was also the home of the Buddhist Institute and library until 1999. Wat Ounalom was one of the five initial monasteries to be built in Phnom Penh, the pagoda housed over 500 Buddhist monks and also the library of the Buddhist Institute which had a collection of over 30,000 titles.

Central market: The Phsar Thom Thmei “the big new market or Central Market” erected in Art Deco in 1930 is a Phnom Penh Landmark. Its central Yellow dome sprouting four wings is chockfull of stalls selling clothing, shoes, bags, cosmetic, stationery, and souvenirs.

Russian Market: It is of far less architectural interest than the Central Market, but has a larger and more varied selection of gifts and souvenirs: clothes, shoes, silks, carvings, compact discs, antiques or pottery.  Here is also where you can try a large section of local dishes or buy refreshment.
